| said by norbert26:Good way to discourage Phone upgrades. My four lines become eligible for upgrades in the middle of May. The chances of me upgrading ANY of those lines is somewhere between zero and none. Good job Verizon - now waiting to see if you have an equal fail when and if you finally come out with the Family Data plan. |

| reply to Jimelb Of course it is capitalism. Big companies do it, so do small ones. Probably even the one you work for.
I am simply exercising my right as a consumer to not play the game. I only wish more of us would do that. That would be the most effective way to keep pricing in line. Imagine if no one got an upgrade for a whole month. You would see silly fees like this dropped a quick as can be. Unfortunately too many of us just have to have the latest gadgets and the wireless companies know that. |

 | reply to Jackarino Saw a link somewhere that this $30.00 fee x the number of upgrades will rake in $1 Billion annually. -- The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits. |

 | "will rake in $1 Billion annually" That makes good business sense. To bad Capitalism doesnt bode well for the individual |

 | reply to Jackarino Probably from all those people buying iPhones, people coming up at the end of their contract and well as those that buy a new smartphone every year. |
