Re: [Official] Tera Online Thread It's just REALLY flat... no bulk to it. And you're right, I will definitely stop by best buy and check some other ones out. I just noticed theres a logitech one that looks bulky. -- dslreports.com |

PacketeersPremium join:2005-06-18 Forest Hills, NY kudos:1 | look at the Razer Naga HEX it's a narrower 2+6 button mouse that personally I would prefer if I was going away from trackballs and worried 2+12 buttons was too cluttered.

1 edit | sure the more buttons the better, but I like how the HEX has a rest middle spot with no button that is a great point of reference to the other 6 buttons. I worry with 12 buttons, I won't know where the hell my thumb is to press anything, or if say I'm just running around, I want a place my thumb can rest without any button pressing risk. |

| reply to Packeteers That's what I thought too Pack. But it gets easier once you use it. If I recall correctly it has little plastic stubs that remind you where certain keys are. Kind of like the F and J on most keyboards. But like you said mouses are a personal thing. |

| I think it's also a matter of; how many keys do you really need? I mean of the 2+2+12 keys you have on your Naga, how many are skills you use now at your current level, and how many are skills you don't use, or things you can do slower on your keyboard like inventory, quests, maps and seeing what you are wearing, etc. I just think if you focus on your best current level skills, and movements, maybe a potion, then 2+2+6 on your mouse should be sufficient for most classes. If you focus on what do you need in real time while solo'ing a BAM or doing pvP, then you really don't need so many keys. |

I AMPremium join:2010-04-11 Ephrata, PA kudos:4 | reply to Packeteers I think I'm to using 10 key hotkeyed. About 3 of them are just for buffs since we aren't able to macro right? 3 are to help me generate mana, 1 for a speed buff andthat's almost all non combat keys. |

| How do you guys feel about the LFD?
Positives are that you can find groups faster. Also the reset timer I believed is cut in half when you run in LFD. There's a CD after you run each dungeon. I think the last one I ran had a 15 minute CD.
Negatives I feel are that it ruins server community. It was nice in beta seeing people LFG in the actual LFG channel. It was nice to see 50 people waiting at the entrance door trying to get in groups (I guess they don't know how to use LFG channel). It was also nice like back in Vanilla WoW having to actually run to a dungeon to run it. It brings back some sense of vastness to the world. Instead of everyone hanging out in some big city waiting in que people were out exploring and world pvping as they tried to find groups. |

2 edits | I see it as a way to make pvP servers more attractive, by not having to worry about GvG or Grief at instance. let's face it... instance are instance, their geographic location don't matter, only your player level to it does.
also you will be returned after to the instance location, not back to where each person was when it started, giving you a chance to restart fast, or pvP there or gallop around the spot enjoying the vastness...
this system also enables parties to find exactly what they want, not just any DD Tank or Healer class/lvl which could take precious minutes to fulfill properly.

90% of the game is outdoor map location intensive, so you'll have plenty of other "vastness" to enjoy. when you are higher level all you will have left is to grind instances, and the easier they will be to start the happier you will be with this game - trust me. |
