AT&T Sued For Enabling, Profiting Off of Cell Phone Theft → Suing businesses cuz of theft is a bit much

I agree with the author of the article that att does look bad versus the other carriers, but to sue is ridiculous. You bought the product, you're responsible for it. If someone steals it, call the police. No business will confiscate. Expecting them to do such is ridiculous. Businesses can refuse service and thats it. Simple as that. I would be so angry if someone took my property because someone mistyped my imei in the database.
