I don't know about who pays...but I know who does the repairs...Damage Control !!!...lol...

Damage Control is a fictional construction company appearing in Marvel Comics, which specializes in repairing the property damage caused by conflicts between superheroes and supervillains. Four Damage Control limited series have been published to date.

I've been wanting to see Damage Control done in a movie or television series for a long time. It would be a tough one to do right, but worth it.

Did anybody else notice that after Thor was ejected from the helicarrier and hit the ground he try to summon his hammer and it didn't come to him? He got this odd look on his face and walked over and picked it up.

most were saying they were thankful for the Avengers but one showed a couple who were questioning whether the Avengers were a good thing. The news station.....MSNBC. Then a couple of channels later there is a Democrat senator wanting to know who is going to pay of all the damage.

I took that to be a set up of Marvel's Civil War series. But then they had that guy in the credits which means they may go in that direction as well.

I just finished watching The Avengers and I have to say it was a great movie. I can't think of one thing about it that I didn't like (besides that it could have been longer ). It was tremendously entertaining. Who else besides Joss Whedon would write a scene where the Hulk and Thor crash a huge flying monster into Penn Station, stand there a second, and then have the Hulk punch Thor in the face? I laughed so hard I had to rewind the movie to see what I missed while I was laughing. Even the scene after the credits was funny.
And they got the heroes without super powers into the fight without making it seem hokey.

I hope there's a sequel and I hope they get Whedon to write the screenplay and direct.

lol. I wish I still had that BetaMax! Not sure what I would do with it though.
and you kids get off my lawn!

But it was a pretty good HD version of the film. I want to watch it again soon.
And Scarlett Johansson never looked better.

Hulk is the only one that via brute force can lift Thor's hammer.
Its not easy for him but he can do it.

Is that in the comics? He couldn't budge it in the movie.

He started to in the movie just as thor called it back.

Its in the avengers cartoon and in "hulk vs"

In "Hulk Vs" he hits thor with Thor's own hammer.
