Re: [HN9000] Extreme Slowdown
I had a installer here and he said it everything was fine on my end and to call hughes again. I called AGAIN and this time they upgraded my plan for a month free and it works fine now. If hughesnet is that slow for the basic plan now im switching to excede when my free month is up. Hopefully they get it back to how it was the first two years I had it. The last 2 months have been a joke.

Yup still slow as heck here. I'm actually at McDonalds right now having to use their wifi to download some things that I need.
This is getting ridiculous!! It's been a month and two weeks. Wish they would at least tell us when they think they'd get whatever fixed, or if they even found the problem yet.

Ugh, yes. My MO is to do whatever I want to do online in the morning and just be ready to give up and turn the PC off after 7 PM, but today it's been like the evening breakdown has carried over into the next day.
Last night was utterly awful as well.

You know, I'd gotten used to being unable to play my online games during the afternoon. In fact, I made sure to plan my day around it! But here it is, 10:43 AM EDT on a Saturday morning [at the time], and wouldn't you know it? My ping in a popular online game is fluxuating between 5,000 and 12,000, and it has been since 10:25 AM. Don't that beat all?
Edit: And of course, the instant I post about it, it clears up. Now I look like I've gone crazy. No, it hasn't cleared up... It's just a bit more intermittent now. Fantastic.
I like lag better when it's consistent...
Same here. It did work a lot better on May 1st but only on that day. Makes me think their fap clock coding is where the problem is , like a leap year bug or something, but of course I have no proof or any idea how any of their system's work.
[HN7000S] Nothing fixed here, service still in the toilet. In fact it's really bad today. :-(
HughesNet: We promise nothing. We guarantee nothing. We stand by nothing.
There was a thread on here before the crash where a bunch of people were experiencing extreme slowdown slower than dial up speeds and disconnects. Hughes kept telling several people they were going to call then in 2 weeks with an update and so on. I am curious if anyone ever got they problem fixed? Mine would download around 600 b/s for a month. That is a joke slower than dial up. My internet was like that for a month and they kept telling me the problem was on there end and they would call with an update. Finally a month later they called for the last time and said everything was fine and it was just network traffic. They denied saying that they had a problem and said my ticket had been closed. lmao what a joke. I told them I was going to quit and magically the next day my internet was actually back to normal but only for a day. A few weeks since my internet is faster than it was but still slow. I used to dl at over 100 kb/s at all times except during evening slowdown now my top download speed is around 25 kb/s. Has anyone that has had the same problem been able to get it resolved.? My contract with them is over I might just switch to excede.
