I finally saw a hummingbird a little while ago. I don't think he's been to the feeder yet, but it shouldn't be much longer. It also didn't look like Guzzler...this little guy was a brighter green. I don't know if the females have arrived. A buddy up around Philly has been posting pix of what seems like a flock of females swarming his feeders. -- "Honk if you love Jesus. Text while driving if you want to meet him."
Normally the males arrive first, stake out territory and then the females come in.
I had a peak hummingbird experience this morning. I had refilled the feeder and when I went out on the patio there was one of the males looking at the hook where the feeder goes. When I got closer to the hook the little guy flew down and started drinking out of the feeder while I was holding it. No witnesses except the cat and he ain't talkin'.
