[OT] MSG/Prudential Center

Assuming Devils play the Rangers next round, I'd like to see a game. Never been to MSG and haven't been to a Devils home game since it was at the Meadowlands.

What's parking/traffic like at either of these venues? What can I expect to pay? Wait times in traffic?

Where do you live? You are better off taking the MTA to MSG. The parking lots around MSG can cost over $30 dollars I believe. Prudential Center has many different parking lots. I can not remember the parking fees as I usually take the train but they are defiantly a lot cheaper than MSG. The traffic is also not that bad in Newark.

Parking sucks in both places.

If you really want to drive to Jersey, park in the Union Station (RVL) parking lot ($3.50) and take the train one stop to Newark Penn (about 2 bucks).

But really, best bet is the PATH or one of the railroads into the city.

I live in Upstate NY. I will probably get a hotel somewhere in Eastern NJ either way. Never took the MTA.

Will car rental places rent to me in NJ if I have a NY driver license? I might also drop my car in NJ and drive around NYC. I don't want it damaged, lol.

Don't rent a car to the city. Take the train in and stay in the city. Hotel rates in NJ for a good place are not going to be much less than those in Manhattan. You will spend a lot more money on the car rental, tolls, parking etc.. Living upstate then wanting to drive in the city? have fun with that.

Look for a hotel near Wall Street. You will get a better rate if you are out of the tourist area. Then it is just a subway ride...

I went for a Mother's Day stroll yesterday in Jersey City and found out that 24 hour parking has been jacked up to $22 at pavonia mall.

This is a total rip off.

I will no longer suggest parking in JC and taking PATH to NYC.
