stefaanEPremium join:2002-07-10 9657 kudos:1 | As far as I can see this release fixes a single issue on the USG-100:
Modifications in 3.00(AQQ.2)b1 -- 2012/04/30
1. [BUG FIX] eITS: 120401998, 120402803 SPR:120426045
Symptom:
HTTP throughput is slow with Commtouch content filter
Condition:
1) Enable content filter and use Commtouch service
2) PC use www.speedtest.net to test HTTP throughput
3) The test result is slow (only 10+ Mbps with 50M line speed)
No need to upgrade if you're not using the Commtouch content filter.
Take care,

No need to upgrade if you're not using the Commtouch content filter. Take care, Yep I agree. They did not fix anything with this release other than the Commtouch thing which I never saw any threads on in the first place. IPSec tunnels will still not connect and still NO logging as to why they don't connect. I sent a support request about this IPSec issue along with other issues when 3.00 was officially release and never got a reply at all.
I feel as though they are ignoring the more serious issues with 3.00 xxx.x. At least they have not offered any help with my USG200. Back to 2.20(AQU.4) I go again :( |

 | Wow, each of the two post-3.0 releases are documented to address only one issue (radiusd daemon core dump with the first and the Commtouch throughput with the second). I wonder how long it'll be before a release with a slew of bugfixes is released?
At this point, I don't see a compelling reason to upgrade from the base 3.0 release unless there are undocumented changes included (would love to see the subscription nag screens removed!). |

 | reply to superataru 3.00_2 installed over 2.21_5 seemingly uneventfully. Formerly unencrypted ISP passwords seem to have become encrypted, but not corrupted. Configuration file shows some IPv6 firewall rules that don't show up in my IPv4 firewall GUI. One hopes that they don't have to be messed with for security reasons, even though IPv6 is not enabled at this time.
