Re: [HN9000] Class Action Lawsuit Settlement Postcard I got one of those just today, actually. (Or possibly yesterday. I tend to check the mail every other day, since the household doesn't get much overall.) Interesting read. And (up to) $40.00 just for being a customer? Woo! ... yeah, no. It's really not worth it considering everyone who's signed up between the dates posted has already sunk at least a couple-hundred bucks into it. (My household has tossed considerably more Hughes' way...)
I'm also a bit worried about the part that says "will make HughesNet rethink their FAP Release Token program". The first thing that popped into my head? "What if HughesNet changes from a daily allotment to a monthly one?!"
I really hope this class-action lawsuit didn't stir up more trouble than it mended. -- ISP: HughesNet Satellite Internet Modem Model: HN9000 Service Plan: Grandfathered ProPlus -- 425 MB + 100 MB/day, 1050 MB total, 1.6 Mbps DL; 250 Kbps UL) |
