1 edit | job hunting RANT A recent job ad placed by "ELITE PLACEMENT GROUP" describes a new college grad overachiever with terms like "Internal and External Pillars" and "Synthesis of Requirements" I'm not sure but i think that the job description is now the "Value Proposition of Role".
The real laugh comes when i read this S/he should also be perceptive, and have a low tolerance for badness.
Psychobabble what is this place coming to? |

 | That's the one. With such obscure language, they could end up losing $2B in hedges and credit default swaps, with no federal regulator understanding what the heck it was they did. |

| reply to fatness I have seen plenty of boneheaded help wanted ads. One of my favorites was an ad for an "entry-level VP-Finance...ideal for recent grads or H-1Bs. Potential for advancement to CFO within 6 months." Of all things, it was posted by Robert Half, a decades-old accounting and finance recruiter. I guess they don't bother with standards, experience or credentials any longer. The ones in IT are ever more ludicrous every day it seems. "Senior Entry Level Project Manager required for long term ASP.NET project. Previous experience not required but will be considered." was in my inbox just this morning. -- "Dance like the photo isn't being tagged; love like you've never been unfriended; and tweet like nobody is following." |
