reply to Waldothe3rd I had to drive inland a bit because of the marine layer. About 15 minutes before the start of it, the fog rolled in and the sun disappeared so I packed up the cameras and headed away from the coast. Didn't go quite far enough though as it made it to our location about 1/2 way through the eclipse. I got a few pictures so I am happy. Now I am getting ready for the Venus transit but will be working during it but should still get some pictures. -- mbsastronomy.com
