(look at the AOL CD bombing, they gained HUGE numbers of customer, unfortunately it was faster then the could build/buy infrastructure, and it COST are $247 per sub, OK if you can get a 10 year customer, horrible if network problems AND tech advances meant most stayed a year or less average.
they came back because Netflix sent out 1 month free membership emails to everyone. - which they do about every 3 months anyway. They are probably counting those people as coming back.
BTW facebook faces the same risks, climbed fast- may fall hard.
