pixelation on HD channels

Hi,

I'm in Houston (77006). Starting on March 13th/14th, I started getting occasional pixelation/audio drops on HD channels (AMC, HGTV, Food, etc.)--about once ever 15-20 minutes. Doesn't seem related to weather, temperature, etc. I threw in a high-quality Motorola 2-way amplifier for the hell of it--this made no difference. Pretty sure On Demand HD doesn't have this problem nor does SDTV. Power cycled the DVR didn't solve the problem which seems to be working fine otherwise.

I've had bad luck with Comcast tech support & truck rolls in the past (wasting my time doing stupid things like replacing splitters [which are all new] or sending signals to my DVR rather than trying to identify the root cause).

What should be the next step for me to identifying the cause/obtain resolution?

tech visit....sounds like a signal issue....not necessarily in your house...could be a bad drop, or something on the main lines.....if you dont call, they dont know its happening, and if they dont know its happening, there is no way to fix it
