Re: [Official] Tera Online Thread healers pretty much insta'que 58+ because so many reroll and play other classes as they near endgame. also above level/geared players used to do loot runs without healers at lower levels - but now with hard mode instances - some parties actually want TWO healers. healers are also in bigger demand up here for questing buddies, since many 58+ mobs are trickier and take longer to kill (like mini BaMs). I get more friendslist adds per day at 58+ then I did all week at lower levels. the healer shortage may worsen as Warrior skills get upgraded to avoid tank better, and Warriors qualify to instance match as tank. so soon it may be healers that insta'que even at lower levels, and the lancers and warriors will have to wait for a healer to free up. |

why did you roll a zerk if pvp was your objective?
it was pretty clear back then that zerks only weakness was solo pvp.
we had many debates here about slayer vs berserker,
and which were better at solo pvp/pve, group pvp/pve.
healers are also weak at solo pvp, so i would NOT recommend
you make one of those next. healers may be hard to solo kill,
but they have a really hard time killing you back. when my healer
gets ganked, i just annoy the attacker long enough to get away,
i rarely can kill anyone. |

1 edit | nah, XP'ing a Lancer will go fast if you always look for a quest buddy like a healer (under 50% HP you do more damage) or kiter, and you have the instance matching benefit of insta'que where you'll get lots of loot to always be in top gear.
I'm probably going to do Sorcerer next. After playing Mystic I like standing back from the main action and taking in the wider scene. how you tank/dps know what to do while underneath a massive skilling boss is a mystery to me.
Or it could just be my crappy old PC misses a lot of visual ques  |

I'm not renewing cause of Summer, and how top in game items are so expensive. In a few Month after people grind and craft I expect the exchange NPC to be full of items closer to crafting costs. 1k for a tier 10 template? 5k for an enigmatic lvl.60 weapon or armor? ridiculous... I'd rather come back in a few Months when prices simmer down. besides many tier 12 and 13 stuff is not live yet - so what's the point of making top gear now, only to make it again later - crazy.
my Mystic 60 is 140 with +0all, has 7k saved up, so I will rock better gear come Fall'2012, when everyone's selling their current unbound top gear for the higher tier stuff to come. |

right now tier 12 enigmatic and tier 13 blue/gold static items are dropping, and tier 10 is craft-able from scratch.
once enough players have +6 to +9 tier 12 sets on, they can farm more hard mode bosses for tier 13 enigmatic gear (once their crafting is enabled).
when this happens, tier 12 drop prices will crash since everyone will be pricing up tier 13 drops.
think of it another way... tier 12 armor and weapons go for 5k each.
it takes a week of daily quests to save 1k. instance profit is hit or miss. the few lvl.60 farm zones with repeatables and bams have no alternate channels, which means they are always full of ganker squads and major GvG wars.
you can lose as much on arunics and crystals in one wiped party as you make getting a lucky drop that does not bind to you on pickup thus can be resold. in addition there are a lot of crooked players who change dice on the fly so they can free for all your drops. there will be a shortage of healers as warriors get to instance que as tanks, so actually fewer instance parties will get matched, not more - especially on hardmode.
this regular versus hard mode dungeon crap is exactly what I hated the most about Diablo - once you do the entire game map, all you can do to get better gear is do the map AGAIN at a harder setting - total rip off - and for it I should pay enmasse another $15/month - forget that. the only reason I even want to come back is to play a few other classes, not to grind the same dungeons 100 times just to upgrade my teir 12's to just 5% better teir 13's.
with all this crap going on, the game simply is no fun to play for me till all this nonsense settles down in a few Months. Look, I'm not expecting you to agree with me - I'm simply posting why I alone choose not to play for a while. |

We must think alike, because last night I also cancelled my Tera sub before the May 30th re-sub process.
I don't have enough time to do IRL stuff, Diablo 3 and Tera. Now that I have Diablo 3, and it's free to play going to be focusing on that. I don't have time to play 2 games half-ass.
I WILL BE BACK TO TERA. I assume my character will be saved indefinitely. Most likely early fall I will return.
