I appreciate everyone's reassurances. My husband made the final choices after getting my input. He understands hardware and I don't.
Finally after almost two years on Team Helix, he looked at the Stanford University, etc., info about what we do here. Then he decided to get a machine we both know is beyond what I'd normally need. I married a good guy back in '78.

A friend in another forum said he didn't feel the difference in performance between the i7 and the i5 was worth the price difference. Glad you agree with him.
