| Work in progress Tired of buying computer desks from staples that don't last, so I built my own. Couple of days later, this is the result. Still a work in progress as I just put my monitors on it tonight. The sump (little fish tank in the last picture) will be placed beside the tank and the desk will be scooted back in the morning. I'll upload better pictures tommorow.

Sure
Water drains from the overflow of the tank down into the sump (mini fish tank). The water is then sucked into a protein skimmer (notice the red lid?) and thousands of bubbles each second are produced in the skimmer which produces a brownish, nasty substance. It mixs the water with air and pulls out organic protein, etc out of the water to make the water clearer. The protein skimmer then outputs the water over into the next section and is pumped back into the tank.
The whole purpose of the sump is to produce clearer, cleaner more pure water.
