Until the last mile provider gives out higher QAM's and frequencies. <description><![CDATA[WhaleOilBee posted : Today I joined the 8/4 club. The price of membership was <i>'no internet for you'</i>  for about 12 hours.<br><br>I noticed it was down before I left for work at 7am.  Returning home around 6pm and after supper it was still down. It took about half an hour of fiddling with modem & router resets and ipconfig /release & /renew to finally get internet back.  <br><br>Just checked modem diagnostic page, and voila - it's 8 down, 4 up.<br><br>So should I notice any difference?  A speedtest showed over 36 Mbps down on 28 Mbps service - but that might be due to the sudden absence of bit-torrent traffic on Teksavvy servers.  :uhh:]]></description>

Have no data to back up that claim so mileage will vary.<br><br>I did hard code my router to 100M Full Duplex from previous setting of auto-neg and the link "appears" to be snappier. Perhaps due to the link being reset. Dunno. <br><br>Speedtest behaves the same.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[hdefjunkie posted : Well, be careful what you wish for. Prior to the 4x4 bonding my connection was rock solid. Now I seem to be experiencing unexplained upload lags. Speedtest.net takes an additional 20sec before it will start the upload test. Sits and flashes on "connecting" whilst running upload test. Still 1M upload though.<br><br>Maybe a glitch that will iron itself out, but suspect something's not 100% provisioned correctly.]]></description>
