 | [VA] SB6120 Intermittent Connection For years I've had problems with Cox, which resulted in me recently purchasing a MOTO SB6120 to replace my old Linksys. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to have made things better. I still experience random disconnects, ranging from daily to not happening for weeks. I'm still connected to my router and can see that the vlan1 disappears whenever this happens. Visually the modem lights go off, the power/receive lights come on and the send light is stuck flashing blue for however long it feels like before connecting, if it doesn't connect it starts all over again. The only light not on after the 'reset' occurs is the online one. I'm not too tech savvy so maybe a tech can take a look at it.
Here's the logs right after it happened today:

1 edit | reply to dvd536 There is no indication a CISCO modem would solve the OP's problem or that the 6120 is to blame. The OP reports he's had problems for years. He attempted to correct it by replacing his Linksys modem (a CISCO product btw) with a new modem, it did not help. It seems his problems originate external to his modem. FYI, my moto 6120 continue to work great |

I had the EXACT problem he describes with my 6120 and that went away with the D3 cisco[many other people also found this out]
yours works fine because your CMTS gear doesn't have compatibility issue with the moto, only certain CMTS' have this issue. |
