I agree. Though I played off hours at points where not many were on. I should have taken a screen shot I think I saw a dev or GM. They had an Arena Net symbol next to their name. Must have been like 30 of us gathered there for an event that was taking place.
I enjoyed the BWE this weekend, I played as many classes as i could to about level 10 to get a feel for them but not enough to spoil the story. Anyone spend their free gems? I bought a chest key that had some xp booster and a attribute boost.
- I think Mesmer needs works; illusions that die with the mob is really harsh when you're going through events. - Elementalist seems really polished, expect a lot of ppl to roll Elementals. - Necro's pets were dumb, but the class was pretty fun. - Alot of people say that Thief needs work but I had the most fun flashing into melee, dumping skills, dodge/heal backwards while shooting dual pistols. (will probably be my main) - I like that there's no endgame gear grind; even in PVP you're given full set at 80, skill will trump gear.
Greetings Starfighter, you have been recruited by the Star League to defend the frontier from Xur and the Kodan Armada.
(from memory and I haven't seen that in....10 yrs easy)
I loved that movie and watched it 100 times at least. Kids today dream of being Harry Potter, for me it was being good at an arcade game getting you basically your own x-wing and the alien from Enemy Mine as your sidekick.
I haven't tried crafting at all in GW2 yet. Don't know the first thing about it. Is it much different than any other MMOs? Anything stand out?
I haven't touched crafting, either...I sold every crafting item I looted.
I've never been too into crafting anyway, but usually like checking it out....if that made it so that crafted items were just as good as anything in the game, with a few exceptions, I'd be interested, but a lot of times, it isn't the case, and I don't see the point.
Someone said there's no healing in GW2, but just looking through the class sheets (I'm not in beta) it looks like you can build an engineer to be a "healer" with the health turrets, med kits....and I thought something else. Is that class even in beta yet?
What they meant is that there's no dedicated, must heal only healing class. Multiple classes can be specced to heal others to one degree or another but there is no holy trinity. Yes all classes were in the beta, but two races have yet to make an appearance.
havent played in any of the beta yet and will probably wait til live. From what you guys have seen would you recommend thief, engineer, or ranger. These are the three profs im most interested in. -- "Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat." - Sun Tzu
Some screenies of my own. Most of them are more of the self portrait variety because when I'm in the middle of a fight I don't think to take a shot. The swamp boss I tried to get a shot and didn't get a great one; you're looking at the side of his open mouth as he roars. The first 4 are of my Ranger from BWE #1 and the second 4 are from my Champion this last weekend.
You can use a sword and offhand weapon or a two handed sword (which I thought was odd for a ranger). I like the one hander and torch combo, feels like some LOTR shit lol. I'm not a huge fan of the pets though, they are super squishy. Especially in PVP. You spend half your time reviving them.
