New Netflix CDN/Caching Appliance Announced

Hello,
There is a new post on the Netflix blog annoucing the launch of their own CDN and content caching appliances. The FAQs in the deployment guide for the appliance suggest that the hardware is free and can offload 70% of Netflix streaming. Just wondering if this is an option to keep our current Start usage caps affordable? Wouldn't hurt Netflix performance for Start users either

Doubt it. Most of those costs are for bandwidth between Start and the customer, so they'd still be between the Netflix CDN and the customer.

also it would still be using bandwidth in the "red zone" or cogeco's network so start would still use up capacity on there POI

Yeah, that would be the bandwidth between Start and the customer that I was referring to.
