I've since upgraded to 10mb with a bonded pair / $10 more a month, plus a new T3200 modem. Started experiencing some slowness, so after restarting the modem, I'm recording the following speeds.

This is with only an Xbox (wired connection), 1 wireless device (being utilized) Macbook connected at 5g, 2 wired computer towers (not in use, but connected), 2 ipads (wireless 5g, not in use), and 2 phones 5g (not in use).

When the Windstream technician was on site, I was getting 9.6+ mbps down. The first few days I was avg around 8mb down. Then the past week, I saw speeds around 5mb down. Now I'm back down to speeds that I was getting before I upgraded.

Here is my speed test on Windstream, around 9:5pm EST. I'm paying $49.99 for 3mb down, but from the graphic you can see that I'm not getting anything near that.

This on a just installed fiber line in Berea Ky. I replaced the Linksys E2500 that came with 50mbps package with the tp-link ac2300.
The e2500 wasn't going to deliver 50mbps even if you were on top of it so with 2 walls and 30 feet it was doing about 20mbps on the 5mhz not bad the 2.4mgz was pretty bad at about 3mps. The ac2300 runs much better with much better range. I have seen 48mbps download during the day

Same as it has been for 5 or 6 years, Windstream probably still calls it a latency outage.

In my last post, one of my lines wasn't able to attain full rates. This is with everything working properly. Very pleased. I'm also in a pretty rural area.

Re: [Speed] Post your speedtest between 8pm-12am here

Wow it's been a while since I've visited this thread. I've moved across the country, and fortunately I have access to FTTH. I see that Windstream has improved slightly over the years, but seems to be the same game. Windstream isn't going to be able to milk the copper for much longer.

Keep it up guys. Eventually this data needs to be thrown over to the FCC. This is 5 years worth of data and I would say that's nothing to sneeze at.
