[Speed] Post your speedtest between 8pm-12am here

The objective of this thread is to try and get as many people as possible to post speedtests during peak hours, which is usually 8pm-12am.

I'll start.



At 12:38AM. After peak usage. I will post a speedtest during peak hours tomorrow.

Please guys, don't turn this thread into a flame fest. We need as many voices as we can get so that we can have a fighting chance at getting reliable broadband.

Ran several tests, seemed to even out here. Did a couple of ping and tracert tests and ping seems to be all over the place.

Truthfully, 12.81 might be nearly the best test I have ever posted. I might have gotten 12.9 one time. Eagerly waiting the 24 Mb packages in my area

Time 11:35 PM should have 6 down and 724 up been like this for nearly 2 years no fix in sight

I'll add to this post after 3 years of the run around, and 4 days of usuable service in last 3 weeks. here is speed at 550PM.

Here's todays.....

1020 pm it took nearly 8 minutes to post this Now this is what I call a blazing speed from Windstream it just don't get any better then this. Come June 15 windtream will no longer be in my life after two years of resetting routers running Cat5e cable it's finaly over Thanks Windstream for what you have done for the Broadband user.

Mine is terrible pretty much all of the time. Been this way since November of 2010.

"speedtest.windstream.net" after that you're on your own.

3mb connection. Been happening since January 2012. -_- Was told it wont be fixed until September.

Mine is the same at any time of day or night, has been for years, and rarely drops below 12MB/640.

Expected. Supposedly will be fixed by end of summer. Don't really believe them but no other option in area. Works great between 1am and 5pm, pretty much forget prime time.

It could be, and probably is an over-utilization issue on the equipment you are drawing your signal from. Basically that means there is too many people on the equipment and not enough bandwidth to go around. Feel free to send us a PM or post your phone number in »Windstream Direct so that we can confirm.

Not to bust on ya too hard, Aaron, because I appreciate what y'all do on this forum, but another way to phrase that same issue would be "oversold".

The way you said it makes it sound to me like too many spoiled brat kids are clamoring for the new brand of candy at the snack bar. To my way of thinking, the candy store should stock the counter and open enough registers to handle the demand before they put out the "for sale" sign.

typical speed during the "prime time" (8p-12 MN) on a 3mbps subscription... at approx. 9:15 PM CDT THURS June 14, 2012...

Keep them coming guys, I've been away for the last couple of days, which is the reason why I haven't posted. I'll keep you updated on my speed tests at home.

I average 1.5 megabits down/.5 megabits up during the hours of 8pm-12am from data gathered so far.

New speed from TWC all's good so far I guess only time will tell if the speeds hold up. But I'm happy to say Windstream no longer is my provider a 2 year wait and no end in sight was enough for me.

3mbps "performance" at about 9:15 PM CDT (Sat 6/16/12)
