My connection, has gotten alot worse since i started complaining, hmmm.

Man if i was paying $65 a month for that when other ISP like TWC offer 20MB/s for cheaper I'd be mad...oh wait.

I am paying for 1.5mb DSL.... horrible ISP. This is actually faster than normal for this time. Grayson, KY. 41143

In other news, they've promised to finally upgrade the equipment out here on June 30th. Not holding my breath.

Can't wait to see all the post from people who go and get an xbox one I'm sure windstream will be enough for that right? I mean they have to be good for something I'd hope.

LOL, I was pondering the same. Everything is heading to cloud based services which need a reliable steady connection. Reliable and steady don't go hand in hand with Windstream.

Heck Doc, lets say you really get 12/.75, that technically anymore isn't considered broadband because the upload is less than 1 m.

24 Bonded service, that works [disclaimer, lol] is the only real broadband they sell. And pretty much at the cost of equipment even though there are newer standards than ADSL2, windstream just now is upgrading everyone to ADSL2.

My point is unless phone companies go fiber or embrace faster copper standards, they will become dinosaurs in a few years. They know it. I think this is why 2 things happened.

1) They would only upgrade with stimulus money (besides the greed at the top, just as big a factor)
2) Once Windstream finishes these upgrades that is it. What ever you have by say the end of 2014 is all you will ever have.

But the worse side to me is cable companies while way ahead of the phone companies (except those on fiber to the curb), are charging an arm and leg. The profit margin on what they buy bandwidth then sell it is criminal. 3 to 5 times the price of broadband in most other first world countries. Again greed, no regulation, same thing all the corporations are doing to us since they took over the govt.

I tried to share. I have used the sites copy function and I still end up with a link.

take the test at www.speedtest.net
once it has completed, press the green button that says "share this result". Theres a box down there with the URL and Forum code... Switch to Forum, and click copy. Then copy and paste here.
