[Speed] Re: Post your speedtest between 8pm-12am here Seeing how most the stuff I do is on WEST COST server kind want a test for stuff I use least that's what I'd think. If my car can drive 5 miles i guess it can drive 2000?
And a ping test just for the lols.

Good lord at those awful speeds..........I agree with the other poster.......If they aren't going to fix it anytime soon, if you're on 3, 6, or 12, I'd move service to 1.5 and ask for a discount on top of that...........what's the point in paying for those other speeds if you're not even getting close to even windstream's lowest ? I remember in 2000 (I think) was when I FIRST got broadband. It was DSL and the speed was 768k down.............and ya'll aren't even getting that.........
I'm so sorry guys........I can't imagine what an awful daily experience it must be trying to do simple things with that kind of speed......and to have no other options. Hopefully windstream will finally get things straightened out in these areas.......... |

Peektime is not just 8pm-12am.
This graph show my DSL Line throughput for about 24hrs, I'm downloading a lot of files from my servers and they are downloading as fast as they can on this shitty service.

I allowed Pingtest to choose the best server and I chose my own. This is the best result of three attempts.
This is the best of three. (The first test just timed out on the upload portion of the test it was so slow)
One thing I've noticed lately. I think we have a robbing Peter to pay Paul thing going on. In the last month, our connection has suffered tremendously. Throughout that time, my upload speed was never compromised - only the download. Now I notice that my download doesn't suffer quite as bad (although it's still completely unacceptable) but my upload speed is almost non-existant. It's like they took some of the bandwidth available for upload and pushed it over to the download side.
THe good thing is, at least I'm back up to the year 1996 with 56k download speeds. |

Been fighting with windstream for past 9 months about this connection issue. After being hung up on several times someone finally told me that they are doing upgrades in the office in my town. And that after the end of summer the connection should be normal again. We don't have an office in this town. Here it is the end of summer and still same issues. 3-4 days a week my connection slows to a crawl from 5pm to midnight. I am so fed up with windstream but they are the only game in town. Even for phone service. |

My ping issue i have to deal with while trying to play online games
Before peak times my normal latency all the way to the last windstream node is 20ms once 4 pm hits this is what i get lol
pluss i see they changed the routing on me , anything going north is going through Atlanta first now but before i went straight up through fort worth and Dallas
8pm on a sunday night , This on a 6 MB line |

crg1250 hang in there we finally got our area fixed I think it has been 6 weeks now no major slow downs or latency issues yet knocking on wood.

I sent a complaint in about 3 weeks ago and as usual, no one knows anything, no one else in the area is having issues, and they can't figure out why my speed is slow. It's all a big mystery. Magically after I contacted them, my problems were fixed. For three weeks I've had zero issues. Tonight, here we go again.
