Are you using any sort of pre-fetch plugins or "web accelerator" programs in conjunction with your browser?

Nope, (at least to the best of my knowledge) using FF 13 and Chrome 19. I just "rebuilt" FF because when i removed Aurora , it removed EVERYTHING , bookmarks, etc.
