[IPv6] Longmont DOCSIS 3.0 / IPV6

My cable modem (supplied by comcast) currently supports 2.0, how do i go about getting a modem that supports 3.0? Will the local comcast store just upgrade me if i ask? - I'd rather not have to purchase a one.

And does anyone have any idea if ipv6 is available in the Longmont area yet, or know when it is planned to be available ?

Do you have just a plain modem, or an eMTA (modem + phone). If it's just modem, you are better off buying your own. It'll typically pay for itself within a year at the current rental rates (which can only go up.)

Send an email to we_can_help@cable.comcast.com and ask for a self-install kit with a D3 eMTA that support IPv6 (such as an Arris device).
