| [FireFox] Firefox 13 keeps crashing Is anyone having any issues with Firefox 13 constantly crashing? I updated Flash last night and since this morning it's constantly freezing upon start up or after loading a site or 2. Restarting Firefox to try to fix this issues takes a couple of minutes and requires hitting the close button multiple times.
I have tried starting Firefox in safe mode and that does not fix the issue. I also have tried resetting Firefox and that has not made any difference. I'm starting to think it's a Firefox 13 and Flash 11.3 issues and i'm searching on line as I type.

1 edit | I just uninstalled Flash and restarted Firefox and is back to working normally. After reinstalling Flash 11.3 Firefox goes back to freezing. has to be Flash 11.3.
It's Flash 11.3 look at the threads. »forums.adobe.com/community/flash···cussions |

| For a temporary solution (until protected mode works properly with another update to Flash Player), please see this link to disable Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox at »forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071?tstart=0 . |

Thanks. |

MarkRHPremium join:2005-02-08 Oklahoma City, OK | reply to gugarci Just for the heck of it I upgraded Flash and have no problems. I did Uninstall the old version first via Windows 7 Program and Features (with browser closed) and then ran the installer. |

 | reply to gugarci Worse comes to worse one can go here..use the uninstaller and follow the directions to completely remove Flash.

Then go to the Flash Offline Installer link and install 10.3.183.20 near the bottom or try reinstalling 11.3 if you like:

Adobe has been patching Flash 10.3 for those who can't install Flash 11 in any variation or in this case are having issues with it.

 | I go to Justin/Twitch everyday and it works fine. I also went back to using 10.3.183.20 above though because the streams on Justin/Twitch were sluggish/laggy. That also might have to do with their redesign as well though. |

 | reply to gugarci For anyone running into a crash or hang with Flash Player and Firefox, or any other issue you think is a bug, please take a minute and open a new bug report at »bugbase.adobe.com. Please include steps to reproduce, version of the player, browser and OS, a specific URL where it occurs and a copy of your dxdiag report.
Once entered, I'd recommend publicizing your bug so that others can find it and cast votes and add comments. |
