Last time a customer of my'n have had a simpler problem, and turns out it was a setting in the Ad Block Plus, it was set to block flash. So i would check all of your extensions that you have.
Checked Ad Blocks filters, nothing showing Flash being blocked. Just thought it was a little weird that first the update doesn't work then on the 3'rd try it does. -- Explore Xubuntu. Like It? Install It. [Love It]!
