 | My guess is a stuck or mis-adjusted limit switch. I'd suggest calling someone in to look at it.
No, you don't need to leave the pilot on, but you'll need to remember to relight it before heating season starts!

1. You do not have enough space for your conventional furnace to breathe (lack of combustion air) once the door is closed.
2. That old thermostat needs to go, upgrade it to a programmable thermostat. |
