Depends where you go. T-mobile coverage for me has worked everywhere from virignia to DC to southern maryland. Except when you go to the outskirts of small towns, there Verizon will work when T-mobile doesn't.
The big change will be LTE. T-mobile is outclassed when it comes to high speeds, but if the cap is so low then maybe speed doesn't matter.
