hello.. i have an issue with the KB2686509 update.. the update was PART of the "MS12-034" update from May's MS updates..
here is a link for "MS12-034":

technet.microsoft.com/en ··· ms12-034the KB2686509 update has to do with the "keyboard layout file vulnerability", CVE-2012-0181
here is the MS webpage for the KB2686509 update:

support.microsoft.com/kb/2686509on the webpage with information about the KB2686509 update, posted above, if you scroll down to where it says "file information", it shows that the update installs one file, "Kblchecker.dll".. however, when i search my computer for the "Kblchecker.dll" file, the only place where i see the file is in the "$hf_mig$" folder, which is located in the "windows" folder.. the "$hf_mig$" folder appears to be a backup, of some type, of all of the MS updates..
i would think that the "Kblchecker.dll" file would be installed in the "system32" folder.. it doesn't seem right that the only place that i can find the file is in the "$hf_migs$ folder.. so, i am questioning if the "KB2686509" update was properly installed on my computer since i am only seeing the "Kblchecker.dll" file in the "hf_migs$" folder and not in the "system32" folder..
maybe someone who is running windows xp can check to see if they have a "Kblchecker.dll" file in their "system32" folder?
p.s. let me add that i did not have any problems with installing any of the updates.. the "microsoft update" website reports that i have all updates installed, and MS's "baseline security analyzer" also reports that i have all updates installed, and the "KB2686509" is showing as being installed when i check in my computer's "registry".. i am just concerned that maybe the "KB2686509" update was not properly installed since i am not seeing a "Kblchecker.dll" file in the "system32" folder..
