Re: [Cable] How can I force TWC to carry all the RSN's? said by Steve Mehs:I dont find sports bars enjoyable. I dont drink alcohol, and I dont enjoy being around others when they consume alcohol. So why should I go there? I want to watch my sports in the comfort of my own home, on my own TV. Then being willing to PAY for it and stop bitching there aren't enough "free" sports channels.
I don't mind a sports bar now and then for games I want to see. And what on earth do you need sound for??? Are you blind??? You just want to hear some announcer blather endless and here all those ads? And usually most I've been to for a big game they do have the sound on.
PS it is not a LAW you must drink alcohol in a bar. I often space them out with water and soda. --

Im not bitching about anything. Not sure where you got that from. I subscribe to the premium sports tiers on both Time Warner and DirecTV, I subscribe to NHL Center Ice, MLB Extra Innings and I get ESPN Game Plan every once in a while, and this year, Im going to get NFL Sunday Ticket.

I want to hear the call of the game, I want to hear the pre game, I want to hear analysis, I want to hear the post-game press conferences. For Sabres hockey, I want to hear Rick Jeanneret. For NASCAR, when its on Fox, I want to Crank It Up.

I guess you missed the part about me not wanting to be around drunks and not enjoying the whole bar atmosphere watching an event on their inferior set ups. Why would I want to go somewhere that I don't enjoy going to, when I can accomplish the same thing at home?
Your anti sports rants make me laugh. -- For the future of our nation, we must unite and vote out the terrorist known as Hussein Obama. Come November 6 2012 we must remove the socialist pig out of office and get our country back on the RIGHT track. |

Again don't ask me to subsidize you sanitized version. You seem super premium happy so how about paying for ALL of it, like ESPN and the other "free" crap non or casual sports fans pay for but considering that is 50% of the bill consider not worth it. --

Steve MehsGun Control Is Using A Steady HandPremium join:2005-07-16 | Ive been to plenty of sporting events. 13 NASCAR races, 1 Yankees game in NYC, and tons of Bills and Sabres games over the years along with a few Bandits LAX games. For NASCAR races I typically sit in the family section where smoking and alcohol is prohibited. Beer prices at sporting events are typically high enough for people not to display drunken stupidness.
I dont have to ask you to subsidize ESPN or any other sports channel, because you already do! And Im enjoying every single second of it! Hahaha. -- For the future of our nation, we must unite and vote out the terrorist known as Hussein Obama. Or again me subsidizing you for ESPN which is a HUGE amount of money.
