Re: [help] Using a DVD recorder to record movies from Cablevisio I have my Scientific Atlanta cable box connected to a Toshiba DVD recorder through an S-video cable that carries the picture and two RCA cables that carry the left and right sound. This is an old style TV, not a hi-definition.
I use a DVD-RW disc when I want to edit the TV show in the DVD recorder such as deleting the commercials. I use a DVD+RW disc when I will later want to read the DVD in the computer and write the TV show to an mpg or wmv file with the software Magix Movie Edit Pro. I use a DVD-R or DVD+R disc when I just want to save the TV show in my DVD collection with no editing. |
