Every time I initiated the LNP, Bell gave back an FOC date of exactly one week later, and it was always completed on that seventh day.

Bad advice. If the customer is in a contract, there may be Early Termination Fees.

True, but the OP said he wasn't under any contracts so he shouldn't encounter any early termination fees.
