Anyone notice that it would be much cheaper(and faster upload) to get two of the 150mbps lines and then load balance them?

Load balancing doesn't increase speed, though.

To get 300Mb out of a pair of 150Mb connections, you'd need to bond them using an end point that has 300+Mb capacity.

it wouldnt surprise me if thats what there doing to get that speed as it is

Two load balanced 150mbps connections would net you 300mbps download and 130mbps upload. Load balancing is to take 2 connections and make your internal network think its a single wideband connection.

That's bonding. Load balancing is spreading out multiple connections over multiple lines.

If you download from one site, you're only going to max out a single pipe.. not both. If you bond them, then several connections can act as one.

Load balancing doesn't do that for peak speeds. Bonding (e.g. Sharedband or the like) does. The thing is, in order to get an uncapped Sharedband connection it's $50 per month for two lines. So you'd be paying $250 for 300/130, not $200.

If they're not bonded, you're not going to get 1 300mbps connection.
