[CDV] larger backup battery

For some reason when I had my eMTA switched last monday they put in the smallest battery available for the Arris TM722G.. When you get sent a SIK they give you a BPB044S battery, which is a larger capacity battery (4.4 AH 4 cell battery)..

The one they gave me was a 2.2 AH 2 cell battery (about 3-4hrs runtime)

Is there any way to get a larger battery like the one that they give you with the SIK's?

Don't know. I would call support and ask.

My TM722G came with the larger standard battery (not the over-size one).

I feel that a uninterruptable power supply would help in this situation as well as allow your data modem and router to continue to function during extended outages.

They sent me a 6 Cell PD66H

It replaces the battery door.

Arris claims it has 24 hour backup time.

Considering that is about how long the node's power supply(s) last, I don't think there would be much more reason to have a longer battery. Get a UPS and keep everything going for a couple hours and call it a day. Some systems deploy generators, some systems are too big to be able to do that everywhere.
