Download Win8 and try it. Doesn't matter if it's a release preview, not much will change between now and gold. Rumors are that they've already compiled the gold release.
Personally I think Win8 will be almost as successful as Vista was. Almost in that maybe 50% of the people that loved Vista will love Win8.
