Purchased modems not able to go into bridge mode anymore?

Just wondering if it's possible for purchased Shaw modems (Cisco unit) to be put into bridge mode?

In calling and talking with the folks at Shaw they said that the rental modems had the ability to be put into "wired mode" or "bridge mode" but as of right now there is no such setup for a customer purhcased version to have the same done to it.

I'm wondering if this is the correct info, or, if a solution is in the works?

Maybe Shawsean can help on this one?

Thanks!

Sean mentioned on another thread,

Changing modems is unavailable in the short-term, because of a system issue.

I believe it would be the same for both.
