[IL] Wow! 85% packet loss with 50/5 service (See update)

How accurate is this test? I'm wondering if I am gaining anything
with the 50/5 service.

Update...
Thanks to Chad, I feel much better - thanks Chad!

After applying Chad's fix...

There are a few things that can cause your packet loss to appear this high. I have sent you a message with something you can try to see what is causing the packet loss.

Thought I'd give this a try too, and I have the same issue. Can you pass me that PM as well?

This fix only applies to certain modem models and their firewall settings.

Ok, I have to ask this. You didn't actually think you had that kind of packet loss did you?

I think he did. Btw that website doesn't work for me. I always get some crazy packet loss like 80% or so...

In the firewall settings, turn off the blocking of icmp commands and everything should be fine for that website. Why speedtest sites and ping test sites are more valued over the real world performance is beyond me. Want to know you pings, go to command prompt. Want to test your speed, download a HD movie or some other large file. Hell just do what you do, If it does what you want and expect your fine. Why use some inconsistent crappy site to tell you.
