Now my question is if you'll invest the $60/year to move to your own host. Actually, even the $10 for a domain name and using that. Makes it easier too when rebranding stationary so that you don't promote someone else. It's like all those service vehicles with @gmail.com or @hotmail.com emails on them...it scares me.
--
Wanna be in a movie?
#1 spot for Winnipeg Jets news, rumors & reads
I'm going on a road trip!

URL question

anon posted : Our company web page has been hosted by a local ISP for nearly 10 years and was accessible at a URL in the format "www.xyzabczyx.com/abccompany" (fictitious site/page). The original domain name, "xyzabczyx.com" was recently sold to a foreign entity, and the original main website is now accessible as before at "www.xyzabczyx.us", still hosted with the same local ISP. There were no changes to the content of the website or company web page, only the domain extension was changed; however, our company web page cannot be accessed using "www.xyzabczyx.us/abccompany". The error message "Not Found, The requested URL /abccompany/ was not found on this server" is displayed. If a forward slash is added at the end of the URL, or if "/index.htm" is added, the correct page appears, but this was not necessary prior to the domain extension change.

The local ISP/hosting service was contacted and was unable to provide a solution. Is this something we need to correct in our code for the page, or is it a problem that must be corrected by the ISP?

All suggestions and assistance will be appreciated.
