Netgear WGR614 s a Hub

Apologies if this is the wrong part of the forum. Upstairs in my house I have an ethernet cable connected to a pc (from a cable modem downstairs that supplies my broadband). I have bought a TV that has an ethernet connection to watch things like iplayer programs. I was thinking of buying an ethernet hub for upstairs so I could connect the TV into the hub as well as the pc. However, I have a Netgear WGR614 sitting in the cupboard gathering dust. Can I use this as a simple hub? If so, what do I have to do? Many thanks.

Yes. I have one set up like that in my house.

Set a static IP that does not conflict with anything else
Disable the DHCP server in that unit
Don't use the WAN/Internet port
Just plug all your cables into the LAN ports

That should do it.
