[Updated] CDBurnerXP v4.4.1.3243 Released
CDBurnerXP is an easy to use and free application to burn CDs and DVDs, including Blu-Ray and HD-DVDs. It also includes the feature to burn and create ISOs, as well as a multilanguage interface. You can create data and audio CDs with or without gaps between tracks, burn and create ISO files, create bootable discs. It does however support Burn-Proof technology, multi-session disks, import of ISO images has bin/nrg - ISO converter, simple cover printing and much more. In addition to CD/DVD burning, you can also rip audio CDs, normalize WAV files, encode MP3 files, erase disks. Compatible with Windows 2000/XP/2003 Server/Vista operating systems. Everyone, even companies, can use it for free. Thank goodness for CDBurnerXP... This is the software that got me off of Nero - which really started getting worse and worse with v6 on... |

Too bad the new on our two newer Dell's it says 'No Compatible Drives'. Edit: Yep still not supported on my Dell laptop. |

Edit: Yep still not supported on my Dell laptop. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you have a SATA optical drive attached to an AHCI controller. If that's the case (as it was with my system), you simply need to install the driver for your particular AHCI controller. In my case, I think it was the Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers; after doing that, CDBurnerXP worked just fine. Hope this helps! P.S.
