My Apple setup

The MacBook Air itself
Here it is, I haven't posted a setup picture in a while since I have moved into this house.

The Macbook Air is a Late 2010
1.86Ghz Inteo Core 2 Duo
2GB of RAM
256GB SSD
23" Apple Display
Magic Mouse
Apple BT Keyboard

Running in clamshell mode most of the time, very portable when I need it to be.

Unfortunately this thing isn't too upgradable.

The IBM in the background I plan on putting into service once I have another desk for it, and it will be my Windows machine, the specs on that aren't great by today's standards, but all I need it to do is handle some basic tasks.

The Dell tower you see in the picture is going to be running Windows Server 2003 R2 for experimenting with Active Directory. When I am not lazy, I'll put that into service.

NOT SHOWN: Apple TV, Various PCs and Macs in other rooms (which are messy as I haven't tended to them yet.)

How do you handle reading a screen that's off to the side like that? I need everything lined up pretty straight...

I would have it straight, but I work on a lot of things on my desk, and unfortunately need the space, thinking about an L shaped desk of the budget allows.

A little harsh don't you think?

A man's home is his castle.

Anyway, nice hardware PhoenixAZ. Thanks for showing it off and letting us see it.

No, I don't think it's harsh. His walls look like bathroom walls.

Look like sound dampening panels to me, or carpeted panels at the very least.

Its a subjective issue of perception,....it looks like a holodeck lattice type grid to me,......

I'm not going to ask him if he lives on the Enterprise though,.....that would be silly,....

Of course it is silly, the rent is outrageous.
