Has anyone successfully programmed the Metrocast remote Master Key? This allows the power button to turn on/off all your devices at once?
In my case, all the individual devices work correctly (eg: TV-pwr turns on TV, CBL-pwr turns on cable box).
But I've tried the sequence described in the remote manual several times and have never been able to get the master power to work.

Programming the Master Power Key
Press and hold SETUP key until the last selected device key blinks twice.
Enter 9 9 5. The last selected device key blinks twice
Press PWR once.
For the first device you want on in the power on sequnce, press a device key (e,g, CBL) once. Then press PWR once. For the second device in the power sequence, press its key once (e.g. TV). Then press PWR.
Repeat step 4 up to four more times to add the second, fourth, and fifth device, as desired.
To save the settings and exit the program:
Press CBL once.
Press and hold SETUP until the CBL key blinks twice.
Using the Master Power Key
After programming, point the remote control at the devices. Press CBL once.
Press PWR once to sequentially turn the programmed devices on or off.

Never had a Tivo how is it to program? With the harmony you use an app on your laptop Add in all your components what inputs are plugged in where and so forth then you plug the remote in via usb and it gets programmed with all info and you are ready to go. |
