[Verizon] Thinking of getting Samsung Galxy III will it work in
Hi Guys,
One of my line with Verizon is up for upgrade and i can get the SGIII. I know it's Verizon branded but will it work in Asia? Can I add a 4G card in and use data from another provider in Asia?
My brother's line is up for upgrade as well and he wants the SGIII as well but he lives in HK so if SGIII from Verizon in the States does not work with HK carriers then it's no use..

Yeah that is why i hope some of the experts here will be able to answer. You would think SG III will be a world phone but one will never know if they just build some models specially made for specific carriers such as Verizon. Of course i asked the Verizon three CSRs and got two different answers --

reply to Fobulous It is supposed to have a GSM radio but it's disabled. A firmware/software patch will be issued some time after the release, which is now 7/10. I haven't been able to get any definitive time table on the fix they will issue.
