 | reply to TheTechGuru But it was free. You aren't entitled to it. I fail to see how you are being blackmailed into upgrading because a gimmick that gave you a 3-10 second burst is no longer available. Easy come, easy go. |

To everyone, please, if you read this thread and are experiencing the same issue PLEASE tell is if your modem is DOCSIS 2.0 or DOCSIS 3.0, Thank you. I own a Ubee DOCSIS 3 that came from Charter. |

 | See post #4 in the series.
More or less just relaying my observation. I have no real complaint about the speed; seem to be getting what I'm subscribed to. |

 | FWIW, I own my own modem, which is a DOCSIS 3, Zoom 5341 |

so much for your theory Actually, I had ran a test from Charter, which was better than the test I ran from testmy.net, after replying at the beginning of this topic. Like I said, speedtest.net sucks!! Was pegged at over 60Mbps on this Charter test for a bit!

 | Still no improvement here:

It CLIMBS to this speed and NEVER EXCEEDS, when before it would start higher and drop down to about 18-22mbps. -- CompTIA Network+ Certified |

Re: [Speed Issues] SpeedBoost Outage? Just a thought, but maybe it's time to get rid of that junk DOCSIS 2 modem you have?
