Re: Dead Board? An RP Adventure... Well thats a good strat but time consuming and has a risk of missing
It'd be better if they just open RealID raiding to current content, maybe limit it to 2 RealID's per 10 and 4 per 25, so it'd be as much a server raid as a "guild raid"
Then I could "taste" their guild runs and find one thats worth joining, rather depending on what they say. |

| It's really only as time consuming as you make it. If you're logged in during ONLY the time you would want to be raiding it could prove fruitful fairly fast. I'm not saying stay logged in watching Trade for a 3-4 hour interval at all, just see who's wanting what for raids.
There are still quite a few guilds on med to high pop servers actively raiding current content and some that have just lost a few people due to summer (usually when people quit for the summer they say they quit until the next xpac but who really knows) so it would be the optimal time (IMO) to get yourself a slot in a raid group for mists as any guild with an inkling of foresight is or has been planning their raid team for mists. -- Good evening! |

DarkLogixTexan and ProudPremium join:2008-10-23 Baytown, TX kudos:3 | BTW I did once make a toon on another server, it was claimed to be a very good server but all the people I chated with seems to be unable to understand simple words, or they were just trolls.
I had made a lvl1 priest went to SW and read trade for awhile, then /w'ed one of the ones in trade to get an idea of the raid enviro, they said my mage should go shadow, and some other useless info, I tried that on a few other realms and didn't get far.
IMO trade just seems to full of trolls everywhere. |

I guess I could always move to a server that some of my realID friends went to (they added me on RealID so that we could keep chatting though they got to the limit of what they could take from this crappy server.) |

Word of advice, if you can't get where you want to be regardless of trying guild after guild, take a look at the one constant in your situation.

DarkLogixTexan and ProudPremium join:2008-10-23 Baytown, TX kudos:3 | Annoyingly when we got to counsel it was a bit late, and thats when the GM/and (what we assume was his not very good at playing girlfriend or relitive) got mad that nether of them were in the run.
Well on the server I'm in its admittedly a crap server, most of the people I was playing with around the end of wrath went to other servers, and the ones that were good friends in the game gave me their realID
As I had said it was guild leadership (you don't have the #2 raiding guild on the server go to being a bank guild in under 6months if it was the people that left that were bad) and the other one the GM and his girlfriend got ticked that the guild progresses without them so they started kicking people (so we all went to another guild those 2 had a real you raid with us or you don't raid mentality.) The really good for a time guild just kinda got hijacked, after officers left and it went from to good raid groups that were keeping pace to 1 good one and one dirt crap one.
Other than those 2 I haven't really looked for a good guild, when I came back a few weeks ago I figured I'd stick in a casual guild for now (its only 6/8 reg) but atleast it clears the first 5 pretty quick, and is fair about loot.
So 2 raiding guilds does not a search make. and both had issues develop (btw a GM should never just say hay we need an officer whoever pst's me first is it, (that happened with the 2nd one and last I checked the guy that became an officer is fairly hated by all involved, the ones that kept in the game joined the #1 guild on the server and now have 25H DS on farm.
BTW that #1 guild on the server is pretty much far beyond all the other guilds, anyone that is on long enough sees their server wide first kill emotes, but joining that one would mean weekday raiding, though I'm in game friends with a few of them. |

McBrainBRB Face Melting join:2010-05-06 Kalimdor kudos:2 | Looks like you are in a predicament, my friend. Sounds like you can either do some research and find a guild to apply to on another server...which means ponying up $25, apply to the #1 guild on your current server and raid during the week, or remain in your current plight. If you want to progress at the pace you think you're capable of, you need to find like minded, goal oriented people and quit mucking around with novices who think they can wear big boy pants, but obviously can't. -- McBrain#1558 - Barbarian/Monk

DarkLogixTexan and ProudPremium join:2008-10-23 Baytown, TX kudos:3 | Ya, btw its kinda sad some of the people I was raiding with in that #2 guild have vanished from how, 2 of them joined the guild I'm in now (thus why I joined it, but they joined to go casual)
Last I checked guild roster nether had been on in 2-3 months, and others still show up on my friends list but haven't been on in along time (ether playing other toons or wowquit)
They were some of the few good one but after that guild in early 2011 they got sick of the drama.
A few others joined the #1 guild (one is in my current guild but has his main in the #1 and from time to time moves others over)
Its like once your in that #1 guild if they like your main they'll let you bring in alts and they'll just carry alts through 25H DS) (one of my ingame friends was complaining about that the other day, he didn't get to raid that week because they were carrying an alt though a full clear of DS heroic25) |

I like rain, so the non-rainy sky is depressing. Quoting in case he edits this. Cuz this is Extremely amusing See how depressing it is, and here this morning I was hoping for flooding, so I was happy when it was pouring and we lost power for a bit but now its just grey.
Reasoning is if there was flooding I wouldn't have ahd to go to work, and if the office is without power for awhile they'll close early because "we're not required to work without power". |
