The original firmware had a check box on the start up page that allowed the user to turn off the automatic update function directly. My router has been automatically updated once and the automatic update start up page changed. The webpage that allows the user to disable the automatic update function appears too briefly for the user to uncheck the box. To disable automatic update now the user has to go to the Router Upgrade tab under Maintenance and uncheck the check box for the check new version at log on. Once that is done the installed firmware no longer checks for new firmware.
