1 edit | I was considering upgrading to a 4200 or maybe waiting to see what comes next in that series but unless they offer both managed and unmanged firmware upgrades I'll be staying with D-link DIR-655's and up for now. I don't want to be forced into a managed stream, yet firmware update and fixes are a nessesary evil in the current fast cycle world. |
|
 | ignore what these guys have to say. the original e4200 doesnt use the new cloud connect firmware. |

| Unfortunatly the 4500 was the" next in the series" I was considering. I want a smart router, I just don't want it smarter than me, and I want it to do as I (me and only me) say.
this doen't sound secure, private, web safe, or something I want until they iron this out and clearly define what they are selling. |

 | well i'd just not do the update thats all. no point shooting yourself in the foot by falling for all the BS these posters come up with. |
