[Southeast] No Internet connection after Quantum upgrade

A few days ago I upgraded my FiOS from 35/35 to quantum 75/35. The day the service was a activated I lost my Internet connection. I currently have a linksys e3000 router and was connected using PPPoE. Is the 75/35 quantum using DHCP? I have tried switching the router to DHCP and renewing the ip with no success.

How do I know if my ONT is GPON or BPON. And if it is BPON do I need an upgrade to GPON?

I have contacted FiOS tech help and they say I need a new router but I am not sure how it can be the router when I can't even connect to the Internet period. They are sending me a new router but I am not sure this will help.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks. It just seems usual to me that my linksys router wouldn't connect to the internet at all. I also tried one of my d-link dir-655 routers and also couldn't connect. I only have FiOS internet so I didn't think I absolutely had to use the Actiontec MI424WR router.

Is it possible your WAN connection was switched from cat5 to coax?

Thanks. You nailed it on the head! That's exactly what it was. Took the tech about 1 and half to figure this out last night. But finally got it working and now I have no problems. Thanks for the input.
